The most important thing to know is that Video Converter works entirely offline.
- Your videos never leave your device.
- We do not have any servers.
- No video, audio, or metadata is ever uploaded to the cloud or shared with us or any third party.
- All processing, cropping, trimming, and converting happens locally on your phone’s hardware.
2. Permissions We Request
To provide its services, the app requires the following permissions:
- Media Access (Photos & Videos): Required so you can select videos from your gallery to edit and so we can save the final converted video back to your “Movies/VideoConverter” folder.
- Storage Access (Android 10 and below): Needed for reading and writing files on older Android versions.
3. Data Collection
- Personal Data: We do not collect any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
- Usage Data: We do not track how you use the app or which videos you convert.
- Diagnostics: We do not collect crash reports or performance logs automatically.
4. Third-Party Libraries
The app uses Jetpack Media3 Transformer, a library provided by Google, to perform video operations. These libraries operate locally on your device and do not transmit data to Google or any other entity through this app.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our app is safe for everyone. Since we do not collect any data, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect any information from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Since we don’t collect your data, we cannot notify you personally, but any changes will be reflected in the “About” section of the app or on this page.
