Privacy Policy for Network File Browser

Last Updated: 28 April 2026

At Network File Browser, your privacy is our top priority. We believe your files and data belong to you — and nobody else. This Privacy Policy explains how our app handles your information.

1. No Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or share any of your personal information.

  • No Accounts: You don’t need to create an account to use the app.
  • No Tracking: We don’t use analytics or tracking tools to monitor your behavior or usage.
  • No File Logging: We don’t keep a history of which files you open, move, or delete.

2. How We Use Permissions

The app requests certain permissions only to function properly. Here’s why each one is needed:

  • Storage Access: Allows you to browse, copy, move, and manage files on your phone and SD card.
  • Network Access: Enables connections between your phone and local computers or servers (SMB, FTP, SFTP, WebDAV).
  • Foreground Service: Used only for the Media Streaming feature, which lets your video and audio players stream files directly from your network smoothly.

3. Direct Network Connections

When you connect to a server or computer using this app, the connection is direct. Your data travels only between your phone and your server. We do not use any middle‑man servers, and your files are never uploaded to us or any third party.

4. Data Security & Encryption

If you save passwords for your network servers (like your PC or NAS), they are stored only on your device. We use industry‑standard encryption to keep your credentials secure — even if someone else gains access to your phone.

5. Third‑Party Services

Network File Browser does not include any third‑party advertising or data‑sharing SDKs.

  • Google Play Services: Since the app is distributed via Google Play, it may use standard Play services for features like Tips, In‑App Purchases, or Updates. These are governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our app or legal requirements. However, our core philosophy of Zero Data Collection will never change.

Thank you for trusting Network File Browser.
