Welcome to AOD Clock (“the Application”), developed by Naeem (“Developer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the Application or visiting our website , you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Application.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AOD Clock, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) and possess the legal authority to accept these Terms. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Developer.

2. Description of Service

AOD Clock is a feature-rich, battery-efficient Always On Display (AOD) utility application for Android devices. The Application provides customizable digital and analog clock faces, local media controls, calendar and public holiday integration, real-time weather forecasts, signal indicators, and automated burn-in protection features.

3. License and Permitted Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable limited license to download, install, and use the Application on compatible Android devices for your personal, non-commercial use only.

You agree that you will not:

• Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of the Application.
• Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the Application.
• Bypass, alter, or defeat any display mechanisms or security controls within the Application.
• Use the Application for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.

4. System Permissions and Data Use

To provide its functionalities, AOD Clock requests certain Android system permissions:

• Draw Over Other Apps (Overlay): Required to display the Always On Display interface on top of your screen and lock screen.
• Location (Optional): Used exclusively to retrieve local weather data. Your location coordinates are transmitted directly to third-party weather API providers (such as Open-Meteo or Wttr.in) solely to fetch weather conditions and are never stored or tracked by the Developer.
• Phone State (Optional): Used to read cellular signal levels and render real-time signal bars on the clock screen.
• Audio & Media Storage (Optional): Used to scan and play your local audio files via the integrated Side Panel player.
• Notifications (Optional): Used to display app icons for missed alerts.

5. Display Safety and Burn-In Disclaimer

OLED, AMOLED, and IPS displays can be susceptible to image retention or “burn-in” if static elements are displayed continuously at high brightness. AOD Clock incorporates automated burn-in protection algorithms, including customizable position jumps and smooth movement animations.

Disclaimer: While burn-in protection features are included, the Developer is not responsible or liable for any screen retention, OLED burn-in, display degradation, battery wear, or hardware damage resulting from the use of the Application. Users are advised to keep burn-in protection enabled and use appropriate brightness settings.

6. Third-Party Links and Services

The Application may retrieve data from third-party services (such as weather and holiday databases) or provide links to external websites (such as PayPal, Buy Me a Coffee, or support pages). We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the availability, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party websites or services.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights in the Application—including code, UI designs, logos, graphics, and branding—are owned exclusively by the Developer. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership rights or copyrights in AOD Clock.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APPLICATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM BUGS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING DEVICE DAMAGE, LOSS OF DATA, OR BATTERY DRAIN) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APPLICATION.

10. Modifications to Terms & Application

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the Application or these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on our official website (https://naeem.pk). Your continued use of the Application following any updates constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated by you or the Developer. You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling and removing the Application from your device. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Application if you breach these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
